Here are VATSIM, the network I'm flying on, and discover the Spirit of STEVENS !

Here are some pictures of an eventful flight, LFPG-KSFO, diverted to KORD!

REAL FLYING

Here is a video of real flying.

It is a kisslanding, ending a flight lesson at Creil (LFPC), North Paris.

I'm also teaching aviation, at the blind pilot's association

Just click to visit our website!

Thanks to Hardy Heinlin, from AEROWINX autor this incredibly realistic Boeing 747-400 simulator, and all talentful programmers for all the addons, I could set-up a small desktop cockpit, based on 4 PCs.

PC#1 is a P3-1GHz, running PS1.3a-EE4, Jeroen's great Broker 1.61 network exchange program

I'm running Ivan's 747IPC 2.6 program, that allows smooth data output to external programs, and PS1 memory peeking and poking.

Again from Ivan, I use VIDServ 1.4 that enables external displays on another computer, and the new Traffic v2.1, that injects online traffic into PS1's internal TCAS system!

Just download my VMRead configuration file, to run all addons (including tf v2.1, Taxiway for Windows, Broker 1.61 & SB747 v1.99k) without any trouble, isn't that great?

Here's a global view on my flight deck.
You can see my various flying consoles. Notice on in ce center of the picture the great Safeline Jet flight console

My PC#2 is a P4-2.4GHz, and is the "flight deck". It's running Ivan's wonderful VMD program for external instruments.

This PC is running also FS2004 vith Peter Dowson's FSUIPC 3.716 & WideFS 6.712 module (WideServer part) so that I can keep CPU use et put all other addons on PC#3.

FS2004 is used as a PS1.3 external scenery generator via Urs Von Aesch's Visual744 2.0.8 program, running on PC3.

I'm using a small module called GPSOut 2.57 to export the FS position to PC#4 for the real-time "Moving Map".

Here, you can see a close view on the "navigation area", vith part of the MCP/EFIS/EICAS console, specially designed to run with PS1, you just need to download the free PS1.3a-EE4 updated version to run all the MCP/EFIS and EICAS functions using real actions on all the pushbuttons and potentiometers... exactly as you would in the real flight deck!

The PC#2 runs also Jeroen's MCDU2.10 program. This software makes a "FMC style" interface for many addon programs, and can provide 3 independant modes: FMC, ATC and ACARS.

Used with Ivan's VMD displays, it enables the "FMC" mode, and allows "remote" interaction with PS1 internal MCDU, as such as bigger display from the MCDU on a remote computer. This is the mode used for the MCDU on PC#2

Something even greater now! A project called SB3PS1 is in development by Garry Richards and his team to connect both PS1 and SquawkBox v3.1, and so see other aircrafts while flying online! Of course, the Advanced Voice Client to have voice communications on VATSIM network.

This snapshort features PC#3's screen view, no hardware, only software!

My 3rd PC, a P3-800, the "Online & utilities" section of the flight deck, is running Jeroen's SquawkBox v1.99k for PS1 program. This allows you to connect to VATSIM network.

I use this PC to run Markus Vitzethum's OpenGL Displays, to get online TCAS, and EGPWS functions. I'm running Ivan's Pushback v1.3 utility that enables "remote" control of internal PS1's pushback.

PC#3 runs Jeroen's MCDU in ACARS or ATC mode, for online COMM features. I'm running the WideClient part of WideFS 6.712 so that I can run here Visual744 and SquawkBox v3.1 for FS2002/2004.

This computer generates a realistic sound ambiance: FlightCrew by Jeroen, plays flight attendants briefings on the PA, according to the various phases of the flight. And FlightCrew 2.5 by Rodney Redwin, enables gear, APU, touchdown sounds (and passengers screaming!), and make the feel of being on board!

Here, you can see the Radio, EFIS, MCDU and moving map panels, with PC#1, #3 & #4 screens.

the PC4 (P-166) is the "charts" place, running some Jeppesen software.
First is JeppView, to show all APT, DEP, ARR, APP charts all over the world!

Second, I use FliteMap, to have the high airways routeing, and real-time "Moving Map", getting GPS NLMEA 183 data (with altitude!) via the small GPSOut 2.57 FS2004 module, on PC#2.

Sometimes, I also run the great MoviMap by John Howes, mostly when I'm flying outside Europe.

Finally, here's a composite view of many "close ups" from various areas of my flight deck, including our "good old" PS1 screen!

Right-click here or here to download 2 small videos of my setup running: enjoy it!
