BIOGRAPHY

Full Professor of Computer Science in the "Faculté des sciences" of the University of Limoges (FRANCE) from 1992 to 2006 and now Emeritus Professor, Dimitri PLEMENOS is graduate of the Universities of Athens (GREECE), Grenoble (FRANCE), Lille (FRANCE) and Nantes (FRANCE). He obtained Ph.D. degree in 1979 and presented professorial dissertation in 1991.

Dimitri PLEMENOS is the initiator and the general chair of the 3IA (Computer Graphics and Artificial Intelligence) international conference, organised in Limoges from 1994 to 2006 and now in Athens since 2007.

The main research themes of Dimitri PLEMENOS are :

- Declarative and geometric modelling in computer graphics,
- AI techniques in computer graphics ,
- Heuristic techniques in visualization (Radiosity, Research of good views, ...),
- Scene understanding tecniques using a virtual camera.
